Olly Murs likes to plan before having sex.

The 'Dear Darling' hitmaker - who is currently dating model Francesca Thomas - admits he can't wait to have children, but he's so concerned he'll become a father unintentionally that he prefers to be over cautious when getting saucy in the bedroom to ensure no accidents crop up.

Speaking to The Sun newspaper, he said: "I am always under that sort of illusion that if I did meet someone and it all happened very quickly I would be, 'Hold on, hang on a minute, we need to plan this a little bit'.

"I can't just have a baby, I've got a tour next year. I have always thought ahead, planned ahead. You've always got to plan when you are having sex with a woman."

The 29-year-old singer believes Simon Cowell - who is expecting his first child with lover Lauren Silverman - will make a great father, but thinks he'll struggle having a tiny tot around the house.

He explained: "It is amazing news. I don't think it will change him at all. I think he has always been a very caring person.

"He has always been like a bit of a father figure to the likes of myself and the One Direction lads.

"I think it will be quite weird for him to have another person to look after because he is only used to looking after himself.

"It would be great to see him on 'Xtra Factor' or 'The X Factor' USA with a nice little sick stain on his white shirt -- that would be quite hilarious."
