Cheryl Fernandez-Versini flown to Italy as birthday surprise by husband Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini

The 'X Factor' judge turned 32 today (30.06.15) and had told her spouse she wanted to go to an Italian restaurant to mark the occasion.

But the handsome Frenchman had even grander ideas and organised a trip to the beautiful European country for his wife.

Cheryl - who married Jean-Bernard in July 2014 - took to Instagram to post an image of her being presented with a birthday cake at her table while out to dinner.

The accompanying post read: "When you're asked what you would like to have for your birthday dinner and you say lets go to a nice Italian restaurant! ... Then you actually end up IN Italy I need to step up my game I'm feeling very lucky and grateful #sobeautiful #italy (sic)"

Cheryl's friend Rochelle Humes - who is going to be presenting 'The X Factor' spin-off show 'The Xtra Factor' this year - was very impressed with her pal's post.

Rochelle - who is married to former JLS star Marvin Humes - posted on Twitter: "Happy Birthday to the gorgeous @CherylOfficial Looks like JB has spoilt you rotten Looking forward to seeing you soon x (sic)"

Cheryl's former Girls Aloud bandmate also took to Twitter to wish her friend a very happy birthday.

Sarah tweeted: "To the gawjusss @CherylOfficial...Happy Birthday!!! Have a beautiful day babes and hope you're not working too hard! (sic)"

Cheryl's other three ex-bandmates - Nadine Coyle, Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts - are yet to wish her a happy birthday on social media.
