Sarah Gadon is tired of being asked about her male co-stars

The 28-year-old star, who has appeared in 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' alongside Andrew Garfield and 'Maps to the Stars' with Robert Pattinson, thinks it's "a bit unfortunate" that female actresses often have to play second fiddle to their male contemporaries.

The blonde beauty said: "Sometimes I finish an interview and think, 'Wow, they asked me questions entirely about the men I've worked with and nothing about my own work,' and I wonder if I was a man sitting there if they would ask them about all the women they've worked with. That's a bit unfortunate."

Sarah also stars in the upcoming film 'The 9th Life of Louis Drax' opposite Jamie Dornan, but insists she is nothing like her attention-seeking character, Natalie.

She told the October issue of FASHION Magazine, on newsstands and iPad September 14, 2015: "I'm least like her of all the characters I've ever played. She's somebody who thrives off of male attention; I was never really one of those girls."

Meanwhile, Sarah says she's "a really proud, happy Canadian."

She added: "I think we've got it figured out in our country. For example, gay marriage has just been legalised in all of the U.S. and it's like, 'Wow, hashtag lovewins,' but that's not necessarily a leap forward compared to what we've already experienced in Canada years ago."
