Twenty-one constables, who've all done their training in the city, will graduate at the Vodafone Events Centre in Manukau tomorrow.
Two of them - Constable Barbra Au'va'a and Constable Siuea Cocker are champion power lifters.
Another, Constable Alexandra Mills, used to work as a criminal defence lawyer, which she describes as eye-opening.
Nearly half the new recruits speak another language, including Filipino, Hindi, Korean, Mandarin, Punjabi, Samoan, Tongan and Vietnamese.
