    Canterbury police want the public's help tracking down a known sex offender


    They're looking for 28-year-old Regan Maindonald - originally of Oamaru - who has been jailed twice.

    His 28-month sentence for having sex with a 15-year-old, ended last year.

    Maindonald had previously been jailed for groping three women in their sixties at Dunedin's Moana Pools.

    A High Court Judge commented Maindonald has committed two strikes under the three-strike legislation.

    Police say he shouldn't be approached - but any sightings should be reported immediately.
