Two new rescue choppers will be taking to the South Island's skies today

The state-of-the-art air ambulance helicopters were unveiled in Christchurch on Tuesday night.
One will remain in Christchurch - and one will will head south to Dunedin.
Helicopter Emergency Medical Services chief executive Ken Franklin says they will make a big difference to rescue operations in the South.
He says the high-tech helicopters will help them respond to patients even in the most difficult conditions.
