The search continues for a teenager who went missing off the Bay of Plenty's Waihi Beach on Friday

The search continues for a teenager who went missing off the Bay of Plenty's Waihi Beach on Friday

Surf Lifesaving Club members will search the shoreline today near where 17-year-old Jaden Chhayrann was last seen, and north along the rocky coastline, and south along Waihi Beach.

Police are supporting the boy's family.

Meanwhile, his high school -- Hamilton's Melville High School -- is considering launching its own investigation.

It's providing support to affected students, staff and the wider community.
