The couple who died in a helicopter crash north of Kaikoura will be laid to rest on Wednesday

60 year old Hamish Davidson and 39 year old wife Lin Chen died when their chopper crashed into the beach at Kekerengu on Tuesday.

Their two children and another child survived the crash but were injured and pulled from the wreckage by locals.

The couple will be farewelled at a service in Christchurch on Wednesday afternoon, before a private cremation.
