    The funeral for a pilot killed in a light plane crash near Alexandra, will be held today


    Phillip Gordon Pullar died when his Cessna 172 crashed in Old Man Range, Central Otago -- last Tuesday.

    A search and rescue operation began after an emergency beacon was activated the night before.

    A death notice for Phillip Puller says he died doing what he loved -- and the 62-year-old will be missed.

    Donations from today's service in Gore -- will go to the local Search and Rescue.

    The CAA is investigating the cause of the crash.
