    The two pedestrians who died following a crash in Taupo yesterday, were an elderly couple


    87-year-old Abigail Vizenti and 92-year-old Arno Vizenti were killed near the intersection of Lake Terrace Road and Pataka Road about 1.40pm.

    Police are still investigating the cause of the crash.

    Meanwhile, one person has died after their vehicle crashed into a concrete barrier near Ashburton about 9.30 last night.

    Another has died after their car collided with a truck near Hastings about 7.30 this morning.
