The missing family who failed to return from a fishing trip, east of Auckland, have been found.. safe and well

Coastguard and Police launched a search this morning after an adult and four young children failed to return from Kawakawa Bay.

They were located at Waimango Point, five miles from where they launched ... following tip offs from the public.

The family fuelled up last night at Thames and camped overnight before heading out fishing again today.

The vessel did not have a VHF Radio and the mobile phone on board had run out of battery.
