A Queenstown local has been reunited with her dog after she was lost by a pet transport service

A Queenstown local has been reunited with her dog after she was lost by a pet transport service

Aleisha Blackley had arranged Hopkins Horse Transport to bring her 16-month-old Shih Tzu-Bichon cross Lani, south from Kaitaia.

Lani disappeared during a stop in Blenheim on November 10.

Aleisha Blackley says her dog was found yesterday after 18 days, spotted just a couple of kilometres from where she went missing.

Hopkins Horse Transport has confirmed it will pay for Lani's vet bills and refund the travel costs.
