Telecommunications providers have found out what they'll have to pay in levies
14 December 2021
In October, the High Court confirmed broadcasting transmission businesses can be liable to pay the telecommunications Development Levy.
It's been decided, Spark, Vodafone, Chorus, and 2degrees will collectively pay about 88 percent of the 10 million dollar levy ... from July 1 2020 to June 30 this year.
The remainder of the levy is divided among other liable providers.
It's paid by companies earning more than 10 million dollars a year from telecommunications services.
