The West Coast is still recovering from July's extreme flooding, as another severe rain storm hits

Westland and Buller remain under a MetService red heavy rain warning.

Scarlett and Co cafe owner Yvonne Scarlett's Westport home was flooded last year...and still hasn't been repaired.

She says if it's flooded this time nothing will be lost, it'll just have to be dried out again.

However, Scarlett says she has neighbours who've just had fresh carpet laid and others just about to move back in, and she really feels for them.
