    Levin's civic building will be closed to the public today after an alleged assault


    Police and St John Ambulance staff assessed a Council Officer - whose injuries did not require hospital care.

    Horowhenua District mayor, Bernie Wanden, says some staff are understandably shaken.

    The building will reopen tomorrow with heightened security protocols.
