    Two Edgecumbe men have been charged over a serious assault earlier this month


    Two people were attacked at an bar in the town on 9 April, with one suffering serious facial injuries.

    A 31-year-old and a 30-year-old have been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, and assault with intent to injure.

    They've also been charged with a burglary on April 4.

    The pair will appear in Whakatane District Court today.
