NASA is back in Wanaka and has brought another giant helium balloon with it

The team is hoping to launch a super pressure balloon, which is the size of Dunedin's Forsyth Barr stadium, early next month.

This will help support NASA missions for longer flight durations, with flights running up to 100 days.

The balloon is designed to float at a constant altitude of 33.5 kilometres.
