    The Wellington Phoenix will continue to monitor the fitness of David Ball ahead of the A-League football finals


    The English forward is spending his weeks in a moonboot and playing with painkillers, after he tore a tendon in his toe in early April.

    Ball was instrumental in last night's 2-1 win over Western Sydney - which secured a top six spot for the Phoenix.

    Coach Ufuk Talay says the 32 year old may not play the final regular season game against Melbourne City on Monday night.
