    Mercury NZ has committed 115-million dollars for building a wind farm, near Gore


    The Auckland-based company says it has executed contracts for the first stage of construction at Kaiwera Downs, south of Gore.

    Chief executive, Vince Hawksworth, says the first 10 turbines will add enough new renewable power to run 66,000 electric vehicles.
