    A young boy has reported he and a friend were told to "get in" a car by a stranger in Ashburton - in Canterbury


    The man approached them in a white older vehicle as they rode scooters to school, winding down his window to talk to them.

    They continued on to school.

    Police say the man is described as wearing a black hat and possibly a mask or balaclava.
