State Highway One north of Kaikoura has reopened, following this morning's fatal crash

One person died after a car and a truck collided at Hapuku.

Waka Kotahi is warning drivers to expect delays, and the road will open to a Stop/Go traffic control system to start with.

Police want to speak to the occupants of a white van seen in the area at the time, who may be able to help with their enquiries.
