It's been a dangerous weekend so far on our roads with multiple fatal crashes across the country

A pedestrian was struck and killed in Palmerston North on Friday night after a car clipped another vehicle, hit a traffic island and rolled onto the footpath.
Jacob Jones has more.
The driver and the front seat passenger were moderately injured while another pedestrian suffered serious injuries.
Another person died in a single car crash in the early hours of Saturday morning in the Buller District's Charleston.
It happened on State Highway Six near Croninville Terrace.
Those were both before a serious crash in Ashburton which killed one and injured five.
