Megan Taylor died after her horse, Red Orchid, was one of four to fall, 350 metres from the end of race two just after one o'clock.
The 26-year-old was pronounced dead at the track soon after.
Three other jockeys were injured, though none critically, while all of the horses are okay.
Police say WorkSafe has been notified, while Taylor's family have asked for privacy.
