Heavy rain is on the way for western and northern parts of the South Island

MetService has issued an orange heavy rain warning for Tasman, west of Motueka, tomorrow between 2pm and 10pm ... and for Buller from 11am tomorrow.
An orange warning is also in place for northern Fiordland from 11pm tonight ... and for Westland, south of Otira, for the majority of Sunday.
Up to 300 millimetres of rain is expected to accumulate about the ranges.
A strong wind watch has been issued for Fiordland, from 9pm tonight until early tomorrow.
