Ten more gang members in the Eastern District are now before the courts, after further work in a major police investigation

Operation Kotare focuses on disrupting and preventing organised crime and gang activity - which saw the investigation team bolstered in Tairawhiti.

Illegal drugs, firearms and stolen property - which included a boat - were seized after search warrants in Gisborne, Hastings and Wairoa.

The charges for the alleged offenders range from domestic violence and illegal possession of firearms and Class A drugs, to bail breaches.
