    Meanwhile, two people died after their cars collided on the Waikato Expressway at Rangiriri about 4am


    State Highway 1 is closed between Te Kauwhata and Pokeno until further notice, with travellers being warned to expect major detours and delays.

    And a sixth person has died, after hitting a tree on Baylys Coast Road near Dargaville.
