State Highway 25 around the Coromandel has now fully reopened

The road is back to two lanes following clean-ups at Ruamahanga Bay and Waiomu between Thames and Coromandel.

There are still temporary speed limits.

The highway is also back to two lanes on the other side of the Peninsula between Hikuai and Opoutere -- a stretch affected by a slip four months ago.

Waka Kotahi says work on the Opoutere side will continue on Monday, meaning some overnight closures.
