A third man has been arrested for the murder of Claude Takao

The 47-year-old man was found dead down a Whakatane bank on June 1.

A 34-year-old man will appear in the Rotorua District Court today -- facing aggravated robbery, murder, and kidnapping charges.

His arrest makes a total of five people before the courts in relation to kidnapping, robbery and murder.

Police say it's an active homicide investigation, and continue to appeal for information.
