    Two people have been nabbed by police - after a CCTV camera was stolen - while still recording video


    The CCTV camera was taken from Pakowhai, Hawke's Bay, an area heavily damaged by Cyclone Gabrielle.

    But during the theft last Saturday - the camera also gave police crucial footage of the suspects.

    Police searched a Hastings home, and also found a firearm and ammunition.

    A man and woman in their 40s will appear in the District Court this week.
