    Community concerns are mounting after the weekend's gang-related killings


    Police have arrested one person and expect to arrest more, after a fatal shooting in Auckland's Point England on Saturday.

    They're also ramping up their presence in Palmerston North, following a violent brawl in Fielding on Friday and a deadly shooting in Highbury on Sunday.

    Manawatu Mayor Helen Worboys says rising tensions between the Mongrel Mob and Black Power have put the community on edge.

    She says this is the result of a society that's sadly broken.

    One person has also been arrested over gang activity in southern Auckland yesterday afternoon.
