A wide range of expert psychiatric evidence is continuing to go before court in the triple-murder trial of Lauren Dickason

A wide range of expert psychiatric evidence is continuing to go before court in the triple-murder trial of Lauren Dickason

She admits killing her daughters in Timaru in 2021, but is mounting a defence of insanity and infanticide.

A fourth psychiatric expert appeared before the jury supporting Dickason's defence - and has undergone cross-examination.

The Herald's Anna Leask says each expert has had a different view, and considered the case in a unique way.

She says it's important for the jury to hear this evidence - but they've been told it's not a trial by experts - and they need to consider all they think it is important in order to make their final decision.
