A former Instagram model is back in court, this time for drink driving

Hannah Pierson, who threatened to blow up a plane on a drunken rampage in 2021, has been sentence to nine months home detention in the district court in Christchurch.

She crashed into a stationary car that was carrying an eight-month-old baby, near Oamaru in June.

She had more than three times the legal limit in her system.

Judge Kevin Phillips scolded her, as she bent over and cried in the dock.

He says she's not learned the lessons from previous convictions.
