It's getting harder to get into the best office space in Auckland

JLL Real Estate Research shows the vacancy rates in the big five office towers has shrunk to just over two percent, almost a percent lower than last year.

The towers concerned are HSBC Tower, ANZ Centre, Vero Centre, PwC Tower, and Deloitte Centre.

Head of Research Gavin Read says the tight access to the market is unlikely to change over the next year.

He says if anything it's only likely to fall.
