South Canterbury have shown why they're the reigning Heartland rugby champions... coming from behind to book their place in yet another Meads Cup decider

After surprisingly trailing 10-3 at halftime to Ngati Porou East Coast - following a yellow card - the visitors then went 17-3 ahead at Pleasant Point.

But two sin-binnings hurt East Coast badly after that, and South Canterbury scored 31 unanswered points to win 34-17.

Whanganui await in a replay of last year's second division final, after the Butcher Boys thrashed Thames Valley 38-3 in the other semifinal.
