60-year-old Anita Graf-Russell died after colliding with a wooden fence post at the bottom of a Coronet Peak skiing trail.
Worksafe uncovered a 2014 document from a ski patrol staffer - which gave a number of fencing areas a high safety rating, when they shouldn't have.
The operator's been found guilty this August of breaching these obligations.
It must pay almost six hundred thousand dollars in fines.
