Heavy rain is continuing to cause issues across the upper and eastern North Island

Thousands are without power in Northland and northern Auckland, and speed restrictions and lane reductions are likely on the Auckland Harbour Bridge until midday.
On the Coromandel Peninsula, flooding has closed Kauaeranga Valley Road.
Thames-Coromandel Civil Defence Controller Garry Towler says while winds are easing, heavy rain is continuing to fall.
He's urging locals to "hunker down" and avoid travelling if they can.
