The fait of Christchurch's green waste processing plant will be decided next week

The City Council has agreed, in principle, to relocate the Organics Processing Plant in Bromley to another location, after years of complaints from residents.

On Wednesday, councillors will consider two reports - one on the long term solution, and the other on the short-term solution.

Some of their short term solutions include sending the material to the Kate Valley Landfill, or continuing composting in Bromley but with an additional outdoor screen.
