Police say protests this morning launched by Te Pati Maori were largely peaceful - but did disrupt traffic

Police say protests this morning launched by Te Pati Maori were largely peaceful - but did disrupt traffic

Two people were arrested in Auckland on parts of State Highway One - one charged with failing to stop, the other with disorderly behaviour.

A group of cars also stopped briefly on the Waikato Expressway, causing a three-kilometre backlog.

A truck stopped on Tauranga's Hewletts Road - but was moved on by police.

Up to 800 protesters marched on Parliament in in Wellington, congesting traffic, but it was quickly resolved once they moved on.
