Hot and sunny summer weather is still on the cards for this week

MetService is forecasting more fine times for most of New Zealand - under a broad ridge of high pressure.

Above average temperatures are expected, especially in central parts of both islands - predicted to reach high 20s or early 30s today.

Alexandra is likely to be one of the warmer spots, reaching 31-degrees.
