    James Preston has employed 1500-metre Sam Tanner as a pacer for the 800-metre event.

    Preston has requested a first-lap time of 50.5 seconds.



    The Olympic qualifying time is one minute, 44.7 seconds.

    The men's A final is at 7.35pm.

    Sprinter Tiaan Whelpton has pulled out of the men's 100 metres due to a niggle.
