Annual inflation came in at 4.7 percent for the December quarter - the lowest annual rise in the past two years.
Westpac Senior Economist Satish Ranchhod says imported prices are softening but domestically we're still seeing pressure -- which will be a concern for the Reserve Bank.
He says we're still seeing some pressure on wages, and we've seen a lot of pressure on operating costs for a lot of businesses over the past two years.
Ranchhod says that's keeping the domestic inflation picture at pretty hot levels.
