Auckland's hot summer has been blamed for Moana Pasifika having to shift their third round Super Rugby clash against the Rebels to Hamilton's FMG Stadium

The original venue - North Harbour Stadium - is dealing with turf issues after it had to be resurfaced last month.

Moana Pasifika CEO Pelenato Sakalia says Auckland Stadiums confirmed the field wouldn't be ready for the 8th of March.

Moana Pasifika take on the Highlanders in their season opener in Dunedin tonight.
