The fire at Cara Delevingne's Los Angeles home was caused by an "electrical" issue

The 31-year-old actress and model's multi-million dollar property in Studio City, California, was destroyed in a fire on Friday (15.03.24) morning and her parents, Pandora and Charles, have revealed the cause of the blaze.

According to MailOnline, they were asked by members of the media, "Do you know what caused the fire?" and Charles replied "electrical".

Charles also mentioned that "something fell on a powerline" amid "very windy" weather.

Pandora added that their daughter was "devastated".

She said: "I think she's probably devastated. She had everything in her house, her whole life. She built it, she made it. She has everything in it."

Cara originally believed that her beloved cats had perished in the fire but was overjoyed to discover they were saved.

In an initial Instagram post, Cara posted a photo of her two cats and captioned the snap: "My heart is broken today. I cannot believe it. Life can change in a blink of an eye. So cherish what you have. [broken heart emoji] (sic)"

"Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all the firefighters and people that have showed up to help."

And Cara subsequently took to social media to reveal that her cats had been found alive.

She said on the photo-sharing platform: "THEY ARE ALIVE!! THANK YOU TO THE FIREFIGHTERS. (sic)"

Cara wasn't at home when the fire started, as she's currently playing Sally Bowles in 'Cabaret' in London's West End.
