The Chief Executive of Upper Hutt City Council is apologising after a number of mistakes were found in its draft long term plan

The Chief Executive of Upper Hutt City Council is apologising after a number of mistakes were found in its draft long term plan

Consultation on the draft 10 year budget has had to be extended to May 12.

GST was calculated incorrectly on the first year's proposed rates increase - of nearly 20 percent.

Another error showed the council overestimated how much money it would save by reducing council services, by millions of dollars.

Council CEO Geoff Swainson is sorry - and is encouraging people to have their say on the draft plan.
