Diverse imports have been identified as one of the keys to Napier Port's financial success

Diverse imports have been identified as one of the keys to Napier Port's financial success

It's announced revenue rose to 70.6 million in the six months to the end of March.

It was about 64 million the year before.

Chief Executive Todd Dawson says it highlights the importance of a varied cargo base - while volumes of container and general imports were down.

Dawson says strong log volumes through the port, and a resurgent cruise industry underpins much of the result.
