The husband of a Dargaville woman who died in unexplained circumstances has revealed her final text to him before disappearing

Jo Sione-Lauaki's body was found on Friday between Omamari and Aranga Beaches, northwest of Dargaville, after she was reported missing after failing to return home on Thursday.

Her husband Jared says she text him saying "Help", and that she would never text him unless it was very serious.

She'd also told him she was going back to the beach that on Thursday, but he's unsure why she went to Omamari Beach, as it's not their usual beach.

Police hadn't told Sione-Laukai what they thought had happened, but he suspects someone else may be involved.
