Te Pati Maori's warning yesterday's haka was only the beginning

Te Pati Maori's warning yesterday's haka was only the beginning

MP Hana-Rawhiti Maipi-Clarke was suspended from Parliament yesterday - for initiating a haka during a heated first reading of the Treaty Principles Bill.

The national hikoi opposing the bill is in its fifth day - marching today through Rotorua to Hastings.

Te Pati Maori co leader Rawiri Waititi is there.

He calls for all Maori people to be proud - and to not assimilate or be subjugated.

Waititi says Te Pati Maori will use every tool its kete has to offer to support its korero in a debate or wananga.
