A good news-bad news day for the Phoenix women

A good news-bad news day for the Phoenix women

Wellington captain Annalie Longo's been cleared of any fracture or concussion after she copped a blow to the head during last weekend's A-League defeat to Newcastle.

While Longo has severe bruising around her left eye - she's only expected to miss Friday night's game against Adelaide in Sydney.

However - defender Rebecca Lake hasn't been so fortunate - ruled out for the season after rupturing the ligaments in her left foot in the second round defeat to Canberra earlier this month.

It comes after Lake's maiden season was ended early by a high ankle sprain.
