Ray Romano was "horrible" in school

The 66-year-old comedian has daughter Alexandra, 34, twins Matthew, and Gregory, 31, and Joseph, 26, with his wife Anna Romano, 61, and while reflecting on the fact that his eldest is now a senior director at PR firm, admitted that he was never academically motivated

He told People: "I sometimes am baffled at where her drive came from. I'm driven, too, but I was driven by something I found a passion for. But I was horrible in school and did the minimum possible."

The 'Everybody Loves Raymond' star joked that as his three boys look set to follow in his footsteps with a showbiz career, Ally must have taken all the educational traits and left the middle boys to appear in their own documentary series ' Romano Twins'.

He said: "Everything had to be an A... an A-plus. You took all those traits from us, and you didn't leave any for the boys."

But whatever the boys go off to do, Ray's greatest hope is that his sons their own passion for something eventually.

He said: "I just want them to know, it doesn't matter what you do. It's about finding something you like to do, and that's going to be the answer."

star walked his daughter down the aisle for her wedding in September and admitted the whole day was "beautiful" but joked that he never expected the whole thing to cost as much as it did.

He said: "It was beautiful, I just never thought it would cost this much! I've got to do 'Ice Age 6' now. But it was all worth it."

Ally married Zachary Wilezol at the New York Public Library, and explained at the time that they knew that was the venue for them as soon as they saw it.

She said: "I had actually seen some photos of a wedding in the library and was wowed by how gorgeous the building is. It was the first venue we saw, and although we went looking at a few others, we knew it was the one immediately."
