Hayden Wilde's encouraged - and excited - by the prospect of more gruelling races as part of a renewed push for an Olympic gold

He's finished second at the 70.3 world championships in Taupo in what was his first time racing over the half ironman distance in more than a year.

Wilde says he's committed to competing over longer formats in 2025.

Wilde won silver at the Paris Olympics in triathlon to go with a bronze in Tokyo.
